The primary weapon within the Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu system is the long pole. This seemingly simple weapon lays the foundation for all future weapons training and highlights any weaknesses in a student’s stance and general technique.

The long pole, or gwan, can be used as a “single-headed” or a “double-headed” weapon.

This six hour seminar with International Master, Sifu Alan Baxter, will teach the Sup Baat Yum Yeong Gwan (The 18 Yin Yang Pole) and the opening sections of the Seung Gap Dan Gwan (Double Headed Single Pole). These forms are a great introduction to the gwan and a solid foundation for ongoing syllabus study.

High quality poles will be supplied and included in the seminar price for people to take home, or you can bring your own pole (subject to approval) and pay a discounted seminar fee.

Everyone is welcome, whether you have studied the pole before or not.
